The festival is known for its inclusive atmosphere, featuring everything from handmade art markets and professional workshops to impressive outdoor installations and the prestigious Whitsundays Art Prize.

Operating primarily through a sponsorship-led model, the festival thrives on the dedication of local volunteers and the creative use of its stunning natural environment. It serves as a vital platform for both emerging and established artists, particularly through initiatives like the Songwriter Festival and Residency, which bring high-calibre talent to the regional community.
